Goshen Community Chorale announces plans for spring season

Rehearsals for the upcoming spring season of the Goshen Community Chorale will begin on Tuesday evening, February 12th.  We will be working toward a joint program with the Maple City Community Orchestra, which is scheduled for May 11, 2019, in Sauder Concert Hall.  The featured works will be the Handel Coronation Anthem “The King Shall Rejoice” and Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass” (which is also known as Missa in Angustiis or Mass for Troubled Times).

Rehearsals will be every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at College Mennonite Church until the performance.  There will also be an extra dress rehearsal with the orchestra on Thursday evening, May 9th.

The Chorale welcomes new members who have a background in choral singing and who wish to commit themselves to regular attendance at rehearsals and to learning challenging repertoire.  Persons who are interested in joining the Chorale and participating in this concert should contact the music director, William Mateer, at 574-533-2562 or mateers@aol.com.
